DIY Log Cabin - Hot Tub Extension

Building a Log Cabin is quite a challenge for all but the experienced DIY enthusiast. We have been working with a local customer who had a vision for a 'Hot Tub Retreat' built right onto his house. The project is something we became involved with around 2 months ago. The external frame had already been constructed, along with the roof but due to work restraints the installer had to stop work. Our client decided to bring 'Handy Andy Ruskington' in to complete the works in time for Christmas 2011.

The Log Cabin is fully insulated with 100mm kingspan and built entirely from scratch, no blueprints just lots of coffee and late nights designing and proving the many systems contained within the fantastic structure.

The main structure is finished in Shiplap both internally and externally. It houses a sophisticated 2.5M square computer controlled hot tub, it has a custom built steam room / shower room with fold down seating, everything is bespoke to the client's specification. The floor comprises of 20mm external grade plywood throughout with industrial waterproof flooring to all areas.
